How to make watertile into landtile!
|
|
This guide will try to explain how to make watertile into
landtile. I will also include some things that could be good
to know. If you have any thoughts or something that is
wrong/should be added just drop me a line. The pictures is
taken from 4thElement and NavalAcademy. I am also using
Leijkars simple.set as you can see on the pictures. First i
will show the four watertiles that exist.
|
|
|
We have 4 tiles: water-coast, water, water-wreck and
water-mountain.
|
|
|
If we start with the tiles that is possibly to make into
land. We have water-coast, water and water-wreck. Water-coast
will be turned into land if you build a road on it. The
water-wreck: here we have to take the wreck with shark to make
the tile into a watertile.

What is important here: 1) is that you need one square
that is a cross of road. 2) The square
that has the roadcross is the one that will be turned into land. 3) Next you build a road
next to that square, the important here is that the road will
be west/east or north/south to the roadcross. 4) If you build
the road so it comes west/east then there can't be a road in north/south from the
roadcross.
|
| If you understand what i wrote above, then this is very
easy to follow. Some good things that you can do with land.
For example you want to make a cargo not be able to walk any
further against you. Then it could be good to build land
efficient and cheap.

|
What you do in the
picture above. Is that you kill road to left, then build a
road. Go one step to the right and the cycle is complete. In
this way you can fast build landtiles connected to each other.
Remember this can only be done in west/east
direction. I haven't found a very efficient way to do
this in north/south.

This picture did i take to show you that it doesn't matter
how the tiles are that is next to the square you want to turn
into land. The only thing that matters is if there is a road
or not.
