Open Management Lab (press V). In Management Lab you can check how many units you have and if you still got some moves left. You can also see how much resources you have, both total and uncollected, and if you got any Routed resources (comes from assigned trucks). But most important you can set taxes to all cities at once, or sort after City Name, Pop, Tax, Food, Rev.

City names can be changed to whatever you like. Some use this as a reminder e.g. if they got banks or universitys, to distract or just have fun.
Management Lab works like a Windows program; just point klick and drag, use 'Shift' or 'Control' to mark/unmark several or single cities.
This is for maps with few or no farms. When you want to lower the population and/or get max income (or is lasy like me).
  1. Set all to 100%, (Mark first then hold in 'Shift' and mark last).
  2. Sort on income. Set cities that give you under 8$ to 91% (some uses 89%).
  3. Sort on income. Set cities that give you under 7$ to 75%.
  4. Sort on income. Set cities that give you under 6$ to 63%.
  5. Sort on income. Set cities that give you under 5$ to 45%.
  6. Sort on income. Now all that give you 3$ you set to 50% and get 4$.
  7. Then sort on pop. If you have cities 1100 or over and 8$, you set tax to 89$ then you get 8$ one more turn from them.
  8. If you have played some turns cities will start to starve.
  9. Then sort on food. Set all that starves to 56%, if they still starve, raise tax in steps of 4% until they dont starve (56%,60%,64% and so on...)
  10. When a city have 990 pop or less, keep tax on 55% then pop won't raise or drop.
